Kelsey Nixon, a notable alumni of Weber High School in Ogden, Utah, is widely recognized as an American cook and television personality. Born in North Ogden, Utah, she attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her college years, Kelsey created a cooking show named 'Kelsey’s Kitchen', where she hosted and produced over 100 episodes.

After completing her studies at Brigham Young University, Kelsey extended her culinary knowledge by earning a professional culinary arts degree at Le Cordon Bleu– Hollywood. She furthered her training at the French Culinary Institute and had the opportunity to intern at Martha Stewart Living and Food Network series, 'Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee'.

In 2008, Kelsey participated in the fourth season of the Food Network series 'Food Network Star', where she placed fourth and was voted "fan favorite". Her popularity on the show led to her hosting 'Kelsey's Essentials', a series which premiered on the Cooking Channel in 2010 and ran for five seasons until 2013. Her work on 'Kelsey's Essentials' was recognized in 2013 with a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Culinary Host Category. In 2015, she hosted another show, 'Kelsey's Homemade' that ran for six episodes.

Away from her professional life, Kelsey is married to Robby Egan, and they have four children together. Their journey of parenthood has been marked with both joy and heartache, having lost their second son, Leo Ezra Egan, who was born prematurely.
