This is a long shot. My ring was accidently flipped into the Gulf of Panama, off the island of Taboga near the Panama Canal in March 1970 when I was visiting while on leave from Vietnam. It is a 1967 WTW ring with my initials, JWB on the inside, and a Garnet stone.

Lost my class ring at the Air & Space Museum downtown in 1977. Left it on the sink in the men's room after washing my hands and realized it immediately, but so many folks were there that it was snatched up within 20 seconds. It's a 1977 ring and I think it had my initials 'CCF' inside.
I am a metal detector in the midwest US. I recently found a girl's (I think) Woodson High School class ring, Class of 1980. Initials inscribed inside are C.L.C. Do these match any alumni according to your class records or school albums?
Owner can have ring by identifying where it was lost and the color of the stone. Email pbtegner@yahoo.com.
