About	Gambee, Stephen H. Stephen H. Gambee, 64, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011 after a long illness. He was born Sept. 5, 1947 in Geneva, NY, the son of Ruth Gambee Hunter (nee Burritt) and the late Norman N. Gambee. He graduated from Vestal High School, Vestal, NY in 1964 and served in the Marine Corps from 1964-1968. Stephen spent most of his years in construction, where he made many friends. He lived his later years in New Britain, CT where he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially during the holidays. Steve also enjoyed rooting for the Yankees and was an avid reader and music buff. He is survived, and will be greatly missed by his Mother Ruth (Liz) Gambee Hunter, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Beth & Cliff Crowley of Hawley, PA; Ellin Compton of Honesdale, PA; Emilie & Roger Hogg of Turbotville, PA; Cindy & Ric Cole of Jacksonville, FL and Cecilia Gambee of Turbotville, PA; his three grandchildren, Katrina, Jake and Brady; his nephew, Scott Hogg and several other nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. He will be greatly missed by his former wife, Barbara Quackenbush, with whom he stayed close until the end. Steve will also be missed by all his dear friends, including Steve Grancois, and the entire Nolan Family. Services will be held Friday, November 11, 2011 at 8:15 AM at Hickcox Funeral Home, Watertown, CT with church service to follow. Published in Binghamton Press & Sun-Bulletin on November 10, 2011
