About Me | For the most part, fanatically independent. My sites: http://ANewSlate.com http://PonziParty.US Putting my mouth where my money is or telling it like me is: -=stay home congress=- [solution] With today's technology there is no reason why all elected House and Senate members can't operate from offices where their constituents live via the internet with public TV coverage like CSPAN for public viewing and local face to face access. The cost savings, accountability and lobbyist/corruption reduction aspects alone would justify doing this. Couple that with ongoing short term non-partisan citizen candidate participation and we'd get our representative government back to what it was intended to be. -=militarization=- [solution] Here's what should be implemented, IMO: Most Sheriffs are elected officials. These Sheriffs 'represent' the people at the local level. Therefore, all Sheriff departments should be the "well regulated Militia" as mandated by the US Constitution's 2nd Amendment. This Militia should include armed citizens, in or out of uniform . The 'militarization' would then equip 'we the people' to defend ourselves "being necessary to the security of a free State". So let's turn the tables to our advantage and keep DC at bay. -=omniccience=- One of my omniscient pronouncements: "We should put all members of all governments into a coliseum, bare-ass naked to battle it out. Those who survive get to live." -=reality=- I keep hearing the 'what about the children who are US citizens' argument as a reason for amnesty. OK, how about the children of all those in prison for their crime(s)? Anyone who believes life is, or should be, fair needs a reality check. -=doomed=- Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it … -=dogma=- Dogma is a suit that only suits the suitor. -=Sheriff=- [us vs them] I repeat: Ameliorate your attitude of "us vs them" re law enforcement. The local Sheriff has the power to 'trump' County, State and Federal officials. The Sheriff is the last defense between tyranny and your doorstep. -=A New Slate description=- We are non-partisan advocates of political activism to foster voter outreach in order to protect and defend personal liberty and sovereignty. -=mantra=- [tweet] We need a voter mindset that elects citizen candidates to serve a short term at local average wage as their ONLY income at EVERY election. [Facebook] My mantra: "We need to change the voter mindset to elect citizen candidates willing to serve a short term at local average wage as their ONLY income at EVERY election." All we need to correct what has been wrought by decades of bad governance is 50%+1 non-partisan patriots to be elected. -=tool ref=- Feel free to pass along this tool reference: http://ANewSlate.com (also see Project Vote Smart in lower left column) -=slogans=- "Dpn't force it, It will break." -=rants=- [investing in infrastructure] The truth should be known. I know, first hand, of one of many examples where DC regulation enforcements (in this case it was OSHA) that shut down a major manufacturer-supplier of auto parts losing millions of dollars of US made goods and 10s of thousands of jobs. I don't know about you, but I want to puke every time a DCer says the phrase "we must invest in infrastructure (or whatever)". We elected representatives of the people, not "investors". DC has to leave that tax money in the pockets of those who have the knowledge and are willing to take the risks 'investing' THEIR MONEY. DCers act like that money is DC's which ultimately, in every case, comes our of our pockets for the price of all goods and services. Think about that! You, I and every human being pay every danged dollar spent i...(read more) |
