vphs was a great scholl for me and helped me in my career, i was in the army signal corp for 35 months in 43 to46, after a yr in st.louis mo i got job from about 25 applicants, i was a teletype and crpo mechanic in the largest over seas army communications center in basemnt of selfridge dept store over 2 yrs in london adodging german bombers, vi and ve's.ialso did telephone , radio and anything that was in comm. i became supervisor of comm in granite army depot and then chief of all comm opeations and maint..i got the plant rebuilt, than i transfered to northern va to the army materel command. i did mostly design wor k,planniing. progrraming new comm deices. i traveled to all the amc sub-commands and most all depots.i went from gs11 to gs 15, iretired after 391/2 yrs. i then became a consult for comm for all amc installation. then i became a vp and presidentunti we sold co.we were married for 57 yrs. last 7 my wife got sick and died feb 11 2005. so i moned to my sons 80 acres farm house for 3 yrs unti i had to go to health care. grethings to all.
