What is Sean Salisbury known for?

Sean Salisbury, born on March 9, 1963, in Long Beach, California, is an American sports analyst and former National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL) quarterback. He was also known for his skills on court as a high school All-American basketball player. Salisbury attended Orange Glen High School in Escondido, California, where he was a highly recruited quarterback. He chose the University of Southern California (USC) over several other prominent universities, proving his mettle in both football and basketball.

During his time at USC, Salisbury became the team's starting quarterback midway through the 1982 season. On his professional journey, Salisbury has been associated with several notable teams, including the Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Oilers, San Diego Chargers, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. As a testament to his talent, he became a Grey Cup champion in 1988 with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. His career NFL stats are noteworthy, with 19 touchdowns, 19 interceptions, and 3,824 passing yards, holding a passer rating of 72.9.

Salisbury transitioned to television after his football career, serving as a sports analyst. He currently hosts The Sean Salisbury Show on KBME, Sportstalk 790, an iHeartRadio station based in Houston, Texas.
