What is Kevin Craft known for?

Kevin Craft, born on October 15, 1985, in Escondido, California, is a former American football player notable for his skills as a quarterback. He attended Valley Center High School, in Valley Center, California, where he excelled not only academically but proved himself a talented athlete by lettering in football, basketball, and track. He graduated from Valley Center High School in 2004.

Following high school, Craft initially attended San Diego State University, where his father, Tom Craft, was the head coach. After his first year, he shifted from SDSU and played football at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California, during the 2007 season. Eventually, Craft transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He was chosen as the starting quarterback for the UCLA Bruins Football team in 2008 after injuries to the two veteran starters. Despite a shaky start, Craft led the Bruins to a victory over the 18th ranked Tennessee in the opener for the 2008 season.

After his college career, Craft played for Cougars de Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône in France from 2010 to 2011. From 2012 to 2023, he was with the IBM Big Blue in the Japanese X-League. His professional career was marked by several awards and recognitions, including being named an All-Rookie Selection in the Japanese X-League in 2012, and making the All-X-League Team for 2012-2013. At the same time, he transitioned into coaching and served as the head coach for the IBM Big Blue.
