What is Kyle DeVan known for?

Kyle DeVan, born on February 10, 1985, in Sacramento, California, is a respected figure in American Football both as a player and coach. He is an alumnus of Vacaville High School in California.

During his athletic career, DeVan shone as an offensive guard. His professional journey in football began in 2008 as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins. DeVan also had the opportunity to play for the New York Jets, Boise Burn, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and Tennessee Titans.

His career hit a high point in the 2009 NFL season when he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts. He eventually became the team's starting right guard and started in the 2009 Super Bowl, although the Colts lost to the New Orleans Saints. Over his playing career, he participated in 40 NFL games and started in 26.

After his playing career, DeVan transitioned into coaching. He served as an assistant offensive line coach for the New Orleans Saints in 2015. His coaching journey took him to various educational institutions, including Ball State (2016-2018), Arizona (2019-2020), Michigan (2021), and Colorado (2022), where he worked as an offensive line coach. In December of 2022, DeVan was named associate head coach, run game coordinator, and offensive line coach for Charlotte 49ers Football on Biff Poggi's first coaching staff.

Besides his football achievements, DeVan earned accolades during his time at Oregon State, including being named to the second-team All-Pac-10 in 2006. Outside of football, he has also worked as a substitute teacher.
