I only attended Uniontown for one year and only half a day at that. School gave me the wonderful privilege of leaving just before noon in order to do the afternoon country music show on KMDO in Fort Scott, the force radio station I worked at in my illustrious 50-year career in broadcasting. One thing I remember clearly is that the coaches gave me the opportunity of traveling with the teams and calling play-by-play into a tape recorder which was then used in conjunction with the films that were made of the game to provide training opportunities for the teams. It also provided a great training opportunity for me. It was my first and last jobs in sports broadcasting! Evidently my color commentary wasn't very good
