About	Doris was the oldest of my siblings. She was a bit plump in High School so, she was kind of shy. Her best friend was Martha Hanson while in school. After graduation she, like so many from UGHS, worked at American Roller. She met a man many years her senior and they moved to California for work in 1968. She was the first of my siblings to leave. She worked for Plough Inc ( the coppertone baby) and a huge medical facility while in Cali. They moved back to WI in 1986 because her husband was in ill health. They bought a bar in Tomah, WI but, as he got more ill, they came down to Milwaukee to be close to us. He passed 3 years later. She stayed in the area till 2002 then, she retired to her birthplace in Alabama. Doris passed from both emphysema and cancer. I miss her and I am the only member of my family left now.
