If you want to reserve a room for Friday and/or Saturday night please use the link below. If you need a handicap room it is best to call them direct. Also, if you want a King Bed, reserve fast as they seem to be limited.

Well Tigers, it pains us to change the date again but with all the uncertainty we have little choice.

Currently the Marriott is capped at groups of 100, cannot do buffets, the fireworks/laser show is cancelled through 2020, no indoor activities in the village, no shuttle service, etc. We all want to have a fun weekend, hug one another, take pictures together, be able to enjoy the mountain events, lunches in town, a visit to the school; and most of these events may not be able to happen this August. Needless to say travel concerns/restrictions and riots are a problem too.

So we have postponed the reunion until next June. It will just “be the summer we are 69”. I know this change will frustrate many and also relieve many. Our survey of paid attendees was pretty much split among those really wanting to keep it this August and those that wanted it postponed. Also several of our classmates could not attend this year due to health concerns for themselves, their spouse, parents, etc. I hope that by June 2021 we will all feel more comfortable in groups and perhaps a vaccine will be available.

Of the positive side, we do hope this date change will allow those of you that had date conflicts to now attend. It will also give us more time to try and find the classmates that are still “in hiding”.

Let’s do this Tigers! If you were on the fence about attending, commit now. We will try to make it better than ever. Also, for those of you paid that have not sent your pictures into Roberta, get on it. Just think, we will be a year younger in the picture! If any of you have paid and want us to refund your money, just email or message Nancy and we will. We have paid ¾ of the Food and Beverage costs to Marriott but our last installment will be postponed.

For those of us that have room reservations for August, the Marriott will automatically cancel the block. They will provide a new link for the new reservation dates and we will send it out as soon as we receive it. For those of you with campground or out-of-block reservations, you should cancel you reservations directly.

Stay healthy Tigers, we all need to make it another year! Also we hope each of you will help us in working on the event and locating classmates.

Well here it is folks: The THS Class of 1970 - 50th Reunion has been rescheduled to August 28/29, 2020.

Yes, we finally decided it would be best for all of us to pull the plug on the June 12/13 date because suddenly after a year's notice, it seems close! But now we have an additional 2 1/2 months to look forward to it.

We are amending the contract with the Marriott, DJ etc.
The costs remain the same, including room rates. They will automatically transfer the room dates on their reservation block. If you currently have room reservation(s) on the books, please let me know via FBM or E-mail (downeyn@me.com) so I can make certain all rooms transfer. (There was also a Tucker Family Reunion that June weekend and some reservations could have been confused).

I am truly sorry for any of you if this date change causes a problem. If the change means you will not be able to attend and you have already paid us, please FBmessage or email me, (downeyn@me.com), and we will refund your money. I do hope it works for most, if not all. Also the airlines are working with most and changing their policies frequently so I hope you can easily make a date change. Perhaps some of you that had a conflict in June can now attend.

The August 28/29 date is before most college football begins, which we know is important to many, and we hope we will still be able to have the school tour, golf, fireworks, etc.
