JROTC Memorabilia

All trophies and scrapbooks of the JROTC Battalion have been turned over to the Director of Army Instruction for Memphis City Schools at the Board of Education. The Battalion Colors are still in the poseesion of the Senior Army Instructor LTC Clausi. The colors will be returned to the United States Army Institute of Hearldry for storage.

JROTC Leaves Treadwell

After 68 years of "motivating young people to be better citizens " the JROTC prpogram is leaving Treadwell. The program will be reflagged and become the New Douglas High School JROTC Red Devil Battalion.

Seeking Information

My sister, (Linda) SUSAN Ross, attended Treadwell in 1967, the last year I saw her.
She was medium height, blonde hair, blue eyes. (Best sister ever !)
I don't know if that was her graduation year or maybe it was 1968.( Born 1950.) We lived on Kallaher St. off National (the house beside the church) at that time with our Mother, brothers Michael and John and sisters Susan and Sheri.
I am hoping someone has a year book with her photo in it. We have a brother who was born in 1967 and he has never seen a photo of her. I don't have any to share with him. We are finally reconnected after forty years! He was asking for photos of our family, which I don't have as I was only 18 at the time.
Our parents divorced in 1967 and we moved to the Kallaher address and we were soon scattered to the wind, hence all the confusion. Susan passed away from juvenile diabetes in 1974 at the age of 23, she had married Lee (Sonny) Edward Smith, Jr. (no children) and she is buried in the church cemetery off E.P. Blvd. in South Haven, Mississippi.
I realize this is an unusual request, but I have three reasons for wanting the photo: One for our brother who never knew her, one to put on our Mother's tombstone, who passed away in June of 2007, and one for me to keep and share with my daughter who never met her.
