About	David Alan Hackett, 45, Topeka, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, in Topeka. He was born Jan. 31, 1959, in Topeka, the son of John and Rachel Runyan Hackett. He had been a Topeka resident all of his life. Mr. Hackett worked at the Correctional Facility as a maintenance supervisor. He was a member of the Kansas Prairie Pickers Association. Mr. Hackett was a very big supporter of Bluegrass music. He married Annette Boos on July 8, 1983, in Miami, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rachel Hackett; a brother, Ken Hackett; and a sister, Barbara Hackett. Survivors include his wife, Annette Hackett, Topeka; two brothers, Joe Hackett, Hoyt, and Rick Hackett, San Diego; a sister, Debra Spector, Lancaster, Calif.; two nephews, John Charles Hackett and Michael Spector; and a niece, Dodie Davis. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Mr. Hackett will lie in state after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel in North Topeka, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. The casket will remain closed.
