About	Barbara Jean Fisher, age 82, passed away March 5, 2024, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Barbara was born May 22, 1941, in Council Bluffs, to the late James and Mary (Whiteman) Orme and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959. At TJ Barbara was active in choir and cheerleading. She was united in marriage to Louis C. Fisher on April 1, 1960. Barbara worked many years in the insurance industry, starting at Mutual of Omaha, Grain Dealer Mutual and ending her career at Paula Saas Insurance. Her hobbies include traveling, flowers, and most of all spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lou on May 14, 2007. Barbara is survived by daughters Jodi Hallagan and husband Corey, of Council Bluffs, Julie Boles and husband Tony, of Glenwood, IA.; grandchildren Eric Hallagan and wife Valerie, Hailey Putnam and husband Dustin, all of Council Bluffs; great granddaughters Carly and Kylie Hallagan; great grandson Walker Putnam; special dog and friend Sarge. Visitation Friday 1- 2:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m., at Cutler O’Neill Meyer Woodring Funeral Home. Barbara will be laid to rest with husband Lou at the Crescent Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Crescent Fire Barn. Family will direct memorials.
