About	Alvin G. Downing, age 71, passed away January 17, 2023, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Al was born to the late Virgil and Norma Downing on December 12, 1951, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. After graduation, Al served in the United States Army. He was a long-time plant manager for TCC Materials, retiring after 26 years of service. Al enjoyed restoring classic cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Downing; brothers, Virgil and Les Downing. Al is survived by son, Alvin (Amy) Saul; daughter, Kristy Downing (Joseph Sapp); grandchildren, Mason, Brookelynn and Madison Saul; brothers, Carl and Gale Downing; sister, Grace Mueller.
