Tapiwa Shumba, born on 16th May 2003 in Harare, Zimbabwe, is a notable alumnus of Tenafly High School in Tenafly, New Jersey. He is a professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for the New York Red Bulls II team in the USL Championship. He's also been a part of the New York Red Bulls Academy.

In his early years, Shumba was a part of the Future Soccer Academy from 2008 before making his way to the New York Red Bulls in 2018. During the 2020 USL Championship season, he had four appearances for the New York Red Bulls II. Shumba made his debut on 15th August 2020, starting in a fixture against Hartford Athletic. While in college, he played for Fordham University, making twelve appearances.

Though Shumba has yet to make any goals in his senior career, his contributions to the teams he's played for are significant. He stands at 5 foot 6 inches and wears the number 86 on his jersey.
