Born on September 8, 1981 in Brooklyn, New York, Eran Ganot is a talented American basketball coach known for his commendable work with the University of Hawaii's men's team. Raised in the charming town of Tenafly, New Jersey, Ganot attended Tenafly High School, demonstrating a deep passion for basketball early on and proudly graduating in 1999.

Ganot's academic journey later took him to Swarthmore College, where he not only received a degree in Economics and Sociology/Anthropology in 2003 but also made a name for himself in the sports domain as a two-time team captain. His successful college career transitioned smoothly into his professional life, commencing his coaching journey at St. Mary's as a volunteer assistant coach from 2003 to 2006.

His career in the Hawaii men's basketball staff began when he served as the director of basketball operations. Proving his worth, he was soon promoted to an assistant coach, where his talent was better utilized from 2007 to 2010. Between 2010 to 2015, Eran honed his skills further as part of St. Mary's team in Moraga, California, even stepping in as acting head coach for some time and achieving a commendable 3–2 record.

In April 2015, Ganot was appointed as the head coach at Hawaii, making him the second-youngest head coach in school history. His inaugural season, 2015–2016, saw him lead the Rainbow Warriors to the Big West regular season and tournament titles, with a record-breaking university history of 28 wins. This triumphant season marked the team's first NCAA appearance since 2002, bagging their first-ever NCAA Tournament win.

His impressive performance throughout his career, especially during his first season at Hawaii, won him the Big West Coach of the Year award, the CollegeInsider.com's Joe B. Hall Award, and the Red Auerbach College Coach of the Year Award.
