Before embarking on his acting journey, Rothenberg wore many hats, including a garbage man, a fact-checker for Mademoiselle, a security guard, and a soldier in the United States Army stationed in Germany. His acting career gained momentum at The Acting Studio - New York, where he performed numerous roles with the Chelsea Repertory Company & LAB.

In films, he displayed his versatile acting prowess in productions like "Mad Money", "Tennessee", and "The Immigrant".
