About	Martha Anne Wheeler, formerly of Lexington, died unexpectedly Friday, March 7 at her home in Cincinnati. She was born March 27, 1954 in Frankfort, Kentucky. She was a retired nurse. Although she had lived in Ohio for nearly two decades, she had spent much of her life in Lexington, where she was a 1972 graduate of Tates Creek Senior High School , a 1974 graduate of the Appalachian School of Nursing, and had attended both the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University. In recent weeks she had made plans to return to Kentucky. She was an accomplished photographer, but her true passion was music. She played several instruments, composed music, sang and had performed professionally. She loved animals and had provided foster care for the Hamilton County SPCA. At the time of her death, she had four dogs and six cats. She is survived by her mother, Martha I. Wheeler, of Cincinnati, her father, Donald E. Wheeler, of Lexington, her sisters Donna Wheeler, Carol Jung and Wendy (Wade) Wheeler-Mullins, nieces Amelia and Rachel Mullins, and nephews Noah Mullins and Alexander “Bertie” Jung, all of Lexington, and a dear friend, Mike Elliott, of Cincinnati. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday March 22 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Road, with visitation beginning at 1 pm Saturday until the time of the service.
