Just wanted to share some exciting news...our alumni should be super proud and congratulate our SHS Seniors this year, because 7 of them applied & have been accepted to Arizona State University! For a small town and a small class like this, this is a huge accomplishment & we are all so proud of these kids! I've had the privilege of teaching them for the last 3 years and they are really great kids, they're all going to do incredible once they're out on their own, and especially at the university. I think it's wonderful when we can encourage our youth to pursue a higher education, and these kids truly deserve all the praise they can get. Many of them have already been awarded scholarships and the rest have a great chance of being awarded some pretty amazing scholarships. Let's give all our encouragement and congratulations to the next group of SHS alumni, and wish them all the best in their endeavors.
(P.S.--The best part of all is that they sure know how to pick their colleges. ASU? How could you go wrong? What can I say, my students have great taste. Go Devils!)
