
Katrise Lee-Perera was the first All-American girls basketball player at SHS. She was named to the USA Today All-American high school girls basketball team in 1986. Additionally, that same year she was named to the 1st team All-state, District 4-AAAA MVP, SHS academic-athlete of the year, and the teams MVP. After graduating, she received a full -four year athletic scholarship to the 1986 #2 ranked women's basketball team -Northeast Louisiana University (NLU), which is now the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
Today, she is an accomplished leader in education and the proud mother of twin daughters. She resides in Richmond, Virginia with her daughters and husband of 17-years.
