Peter Alexander
Class of 1976
My father, Leonard Alexander (SHS Class of '45) and I wrote a book that was released today. It is called "It Takes a Village: Integration of the Hillburn School System" and it tells the story of how our family patriarch, Thomas Ulysses Alexander, and Thurgood Marshall worked to end segregation for grammar school children in Hillburn decades before the historic Brown v. Board of Education decision.
