About	Jeannine was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Gladys Lehto Schulze and Clifford Schulze, both originally from Linden Grove. She grew up in the St. Croix Valley, graduated from Stillwater High School in 1979 where she was an athlete running track and cheerleading. Jeannine attended Century Community College and BYU Idaho in Rexburg, Idaho. She loved music. She sang, played the flute, baritone saxophone, guitar and piano. Growing up, Jeannine spent summers at the family cabin on Lake Vermilion and the Lehto family farm in Linden Grove. Jeannine married Robert Santholzer from Zurich, Switzerland in 1985. They had one daughter Rojana Joy (Phillip) Smith of Stillwater. She developed primary pulmonary hypertension in 1986, which led to a double-lung transplant in 2000. She enjoyed better health until contracting colon cancer in December, 2018. The cancer eventually spread to her lungs. Jeannine is also survived by sisters Gretchen (Mario) Escobedo, Brenda Schulze and Loretta (Steve) Lyons; and brother Gordon Schulze. Jeannine is predeceased by her parents, grandparents Mae Alexander and Wayne Lehto, Elroy and Freada Schulze, and great grandparents Alex and Katie Lehto - pioneers of Linden Grove.
