Good afternoon, Classmates. The reunion was terrific with 65 classmates attending one or both nights.
Friday night found us laughing and telling stories. The band was good and not too loud. So, we could hear each other most of the time. I think I need hearing aids, though.

On Saturday a handful of classmates had a grand tour of TECH. It's out in the country on 30 acres of beauty. This was 90 minutes of jealousy. Quite Impressive. There was a bump in the road for our tour at our old Tech when the doors were locked. Maybe another day.

Saturday night was once again tremendous. Dennis and Rita have this venue- planning down to an art. The laughter and story-telling continued with a few more classmates. Thank you for making the event successful.

I thank John Pearson for his running of errands to supply us with water and beverages and for arranging the tours. He was instrumental in finding our Friday night venue. Thank you, John.

Mona had the albums for our deceased classmates available and up to date. And then went home to make another sheet for the book that we did not know about. The new page attached is for Arnie Maile who past in 2016 at Washington, IL.

Shortly, you will receive a spreadsheet with information on our deceased friends (as we know of). Maxine Bielat Donat and husband Butch, Mona and I have been putting this together this winter. My plan was to have the sheets completed for you by the reunion, but life happens and I didn't reach my self-appointed deadline. (You can dock my pay.)

Thank you to Carol Sommers Spengler, Pat Trewick Reider, and Bob Holycross for assisting with picture taking at both events.

Jim Zachau was my go-to person when the computer didn't do what I told it to do. This was frequent. He, also, typed the names on the name badges.

I appreciate all the emails and phone calls with questions and suggestions and offers to help.

Thank you for joining the events. Frank Niebolte travelled the farthest from Crete, Greece and Garry Gamber travelled from Anchorage, AK. Several other also flew in: Mary Ann Hoffman, Hugh (Chris) Baumgartner, Karen Warner Ulans, Roger Yell, Gene Eilers, Linda Stang, and Tim Stellmach. We all know this is an extra expense and appreciate you making the trip to be here.

Keep in touch, my friends.

The reunion is a month away. I'm looking forward to seeing each of you who are able to attend for one or both of the nights.

(Bill Bettendorf and Lance Moe I have your check for Saturday....are you coming on Friday night? Just reply back.)
Anyone who is coming to Friday's event, include that info with your response in addition to your check for Saturday night.
IF you're only coming on Friday to Ultimate, please reply 'Friday Only'. That way I can give the venue an approximate number of attendees and have a Name Tag for you.
These are those who have indicated they will attend so far:

Notice who is coming from Crete.
Due Date is July 25th

Attached is the information for our 55th reunion.
Just a couple of notes for you.
On Friday, Cathedral has invited anyone to join them after nine at the Eagle’s Club.
Saturday 10am to 2pm the old Tech (now City Hall) and the New Tech will be open for us, and individuals will be there to show us around. You can come and go as you wish in either or both of the locations.
Saturday afternoon you can head out to classmate Dennis (and Rita) Leitha’s home which is 9 miles south on Highway 10 for a gathering with friends.
The earlier survey indicated not to hire a bartender; so plan accordingly.
After the 50th reunion, the Class of 1967 Bank account was closed. So, I am handling the money. Please fill out and return the RSVP as soon as you can and remit a 20 dollar check to: Margaret Zachau.
I like NAME TAGS. Please send your guest’s name with the RSVP.
I’ve promised both Friday and Saturday evening venues that I will give them an approximate number of attendees by August 1 so they can plan for our event.
It will be helpful to hear from you soon.

Jim and I met up with John Pearson last week to visit Howie's Bar. We had a good lunch and spoke to the owner. He was very happy to help us with our reunion in August. But, I did cancel our event. The reason: The restrooms were not adequate to handle our numbers. (one spot for men and 2 spots for women.)

Division. It is unique with both outside patios and inside space. It was immediately obvious that the Ultimate Sports Bar would be a perfect fit for our needs. I reserved an area for us.
