About	Margaret Ann (Weaver) Latvala, age 49, of Waretown, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 4, 2011, after a courageous 18 month battle with Brain Cancer. "Maggie," as she was known to some of her family & friends, loved everything which grew from God's green earth. God called her to Heaven to help Him with His eternal garden. She was born in Atlantic City on February 25, 1962, and was the youngest of eight children born to Joseph P. Weaver and Gertrude (Babe) Weaver. She grew up in Barnegat and moved to Waretown in 1984 after she married Gary Latvala. Margaret was a 1980 Graduate of Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church in Barnegat. Her unwavering Faith helped her throughout her illness. Margaret, along with her husband Gary, previously owned and operated the 7-11 in Barnegat. She also worked at Jack's Pharmacy and Living Landscapes also in Barnegat. For six years prior to her illness, she was employed at Greentree Garden Center in Manahawkin. Margaret's greatest joys were her family, friends, and her customers. She mentored countless people with her knowledge of horticulture, and her amazing spirit will live on in every garden she touched. Her creativity was endless, and her own garden was something to behold. She had such a generous kind heart, and was always the first to lend advice or a helping hand. Margaret loved to cook for family and friends and especially loved the beach and vacations in Cape May and Florida. A lesson she taught by example was to live life to the fullest, by "doing the things you enjoy with the people you love." She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be sadly missed. She is survived by her parents, Joseph P. Weaver and Gertrude (Babe) Weaver of Waretown, and her husband Gary of 27 years. Margaret is also survived by five sisters, Jo-Ann (Drew) Dringus of Barnegat, Doris (John) Shannon of Manahawkin, Lois (Fred) Sauchelli of Manahawkin, Patty (Steve) McGrew of Lake Worth, FL., and Susan (Paul) Nugent of Orlando, FL., and 2 brothers, Bill (Lainie) Weaver of Snohomish, WA & Patrick (Nadine) Weaver of Manahawkin. She is also survived by her husband's sister Christine (Ed) Goetchius of Brick, and sister-in-law Lorraine Latvala of Brick. She was "Aunt Mag" to many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Margaret leaves behind many cherished, dear friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home at 335 South Main St. Barnegat. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday April 8th at 11:00am at St. Mary's RC Church on 747 West Bay Ave. Barnegat. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin.
