About Joey Faucher Class of 2005
Beth Crittenden Class of 2004

Beth Anne Crittenden, 19, and Joseph Thomas Faucher, 17, died instantly as the result of an accident on Goodman Road at Golden Oaks Loop West around 9:45 p.m., Southaven Police Chief Tom Long said.
Crittenden and Faucher were heading west on Goodman Road when their car collided with a vehicle heading east, Southaven Police Capt. C. T. Freeman said.
The second car was carrying two people — 42-year-old driver Deborah L. Lee of Southaven and 32-year-old passenger Joseph R. Johnson of Southaven.
Immediately after the accident, according to police reports, Johnson got out of the car to assist Lee when he was struck by the driver of a pick-up truck who fled the scene.
Jose L. Ramirez was stopped by patrolman Lance Sheppard near Craft and Goodman Roads in Olive Branch. He was arrested and charged with driving without a license, driving under the influence, and leaving the scene of a traffic accident with serious injuries. Because Ramirez had no license police could not immediately give a residence for Ramirez.
The cause of the first accident is still unclear, Long said, adding scene reconstruction is underway and the investigation is ongoing.
Crittenden was a student at Northwest Community College in Southaven. She was the daughter of Kim and David Crittenden of Southaven and attended Cornerstone Church in Southaven. Services will be a 1 p.m. today at Twin Oaks Funeral Home in Southaven.
Faucher was homeschooled, according to his father Gerald Faucher of Southaven. His mother Victoria Faucher lives in Olive Branch. He attended Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Twin Oaks.
Johnson and Lee were taken to The Regional Medical Center at Memphis. Lee was treated and released Sunday. Johnson was listed in good condition at press time.
