About	Nesbit - JAMES ROBERT SIMS, 66, retired educator for 42 years, died October 4, 2008. Mr. Sims began his career at Horn Lake High School where he served as an English teacher, guidance counselor, and Assistant Principal. He was Principal at Southaven Elementary School and Southaven High School. He served as Director of Curriculum for Desoto County Schools. He retired as Principal of Hernando Middle School. He was active in Habitat for Humanity and North Mississippi Mental Health Commission. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 7 at Hernando Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 8 at Getwell Road United Methodist Church, where he was a member. He leaves his wife, Sarah Evelyn Sims of Nesbit; two daughters, Tracey Sims Malone (Terry) of Southaven, Susan Sims Moody (Tom) of Olive Branch; sisters, Janie Parker of Vardaman, MS, Juanita Collins of Bruce, MS, Janette Mayhan of Bruce, MS; grandchildren, Jessye and Maggie Malone; Emma and Rob Moody.
