About	James "Jimmy" Kenniston was a lifelong resident of South Portland and graduated from South Portland High School in 1966 and then attended SMCC. During the Vietnam War, Jimmy volunteered for the Army and served overseas as a specialist combat paratrooper in the 173rd Airborne Brigade ("Sky Soldiers"). Jimmy worked for many years with the railroad at Rigby Yard in South Portland and retired from Southworth-Milton Caterpillar in Scarborough. He married Patricia and together they raised a son and a daughter. He was a lifelong outdoorsman and enjoyed various pursuits, including gardening, scuba diving, hunting, fishing and camping. His love of nature the construction of his "camp" in the Western Maine Mountains. Jimmy took special interest in creating folk-art projects, of which some have been showcased in local galleries. His legacy in life was in his thoughtfulness toward others and his tireless acts of kindness and generosity. RIP, Jimmy.
