About Two weeks have passed since your death and we already miss you so much. Today would have been our 28th wedding anniversary. Ted passed away after a long term illness of diabetes and congestive heart failure. He is survived by his loving wife, Lesli; son, Erik Wieser of Redding, CA; daughters, Pam Wieser of Arkansas and Michelle Henderson; stepchildren, John Hansen and Michelle Hilderbrand; stepmother, Ruth Wieser, all of Bakersfield, CA; 7 grandchildren; along with numerous family, friends and his loving cat, Stray. Ted was in the first graduating class of South High School. He went back to Bakersfield College where he graduated with honours after the age of 50. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was a wonderful storyteller and loved to make people laugh. Ted was a retired bench jeweller and owner of Kern River Gold Jewelry store. Most recently he loved building wooden ship models. Per Ted's request, there will only be a private ceremony. Ted James Wieser June 6, 1942 - Aug. 3, 2007

Classmate Memories

Larry Wilson '60 said:

Ted and I were best friends in high school. We used to cruise the Bakersfield streets in his beautiful MG T D. In 1960 we joined the army and went to Germany. Ted hated the army and told me he wasn't going to be there more than 6 months. He got out 6 months later.
I went to S H 40th reunion in 2000. He picked me up at the airport and hosted me for the duration of the reunion. We spoke on the phone regularly. Ted, I still miss you and think about you. Larry Wilson Tulsa, Ok. 2024
