About Event

Fellow SEHS alumni; we’ve been working hard to bring you a fun and affordable reunion weekend and have some details to share about the first night mixer event.

Thinking Tree Spirits is a locally based distillery in the Whiteaker (“The Whit”) area that has become a fun and trendy area of town for food and beverages. We will begin our evening here for signature cocktails (there will be super special non-alcoholic options too), music, light snacks and socializing all for the low cost of $10 PER PERSON which will include your first SEHS unique signature drink and entry into the venue. Maybe you’ll try a “Saturday School,” “The Wanda Johnson,” “The Pit,” “the Axemen” or a “Purple Prince!" There will be 2 local food trucks on scene to provide some sustenance at your expense if you so choose.

Once the stroke of 10pm occurs, for those that would like to continue the fun, we will walk 2.5 blocks to Blair Alley Arcade for their 80’s night for some totally radical dancing and old school pin-ball playing. They have a full bar, fun music and a stereotypical Eugene vibe. In this same area you'll find Ninkasi, Tacovore, Hop Valley, Heritage Distilling and other fun breweries and restaurants if Blair Alley is not for you.

Dressing in 80’s attire is not required but would be fun! Be prepared for a small cover charge at the door.

We will have more information about the other planned events and associated costs (if any) for them.

Can’t wait to see all of you!

Some of the evening's events will include dancing to a playlist of 80's music (many you may recognize from the cafeteria jukebox), a slide show (send your photos from our high school days to Erin McMillan Gustafson @ erin@oregongirlaroundtheworld.com) and a memorial table (please bring your photos of those that have left us too soon or email to jesidav@hotmail.com).

I just got back to Utah this afternoon and I just wanted to say thank you to the organizing committee people for the wonderful reunion. It was very nice seeing so many familiar faces!

I wanted to apologize for the crazy grammar in the emails that have been going out. This website likes to convert copied and pasted text into nutso grammar and spelling. So, while it looks correct before I send it, when I receive it.....woah nelly! :)

Hi there!

Your planning team is hard at work finalizing some details for our reunion weekend (you won't want to miss this!). We'll be releasing details very soon! In the mean time we had a few tasks that we could use some help with. Let us know if you can help with any of the following needs:

-80's themed props for a photo booth for our Saturday. We'd really love to have a lettermans jacket, any sports uniform, pom poms or any other SEHS specific items. We will also take other fun 80's items too that are non-SEHS too!

-Someone to help us create, print and put together name tags. Preferable clip on style. I have a template and some that were created for the 20-year reunion.

-Volunteers for set-up/tear-down crews for Friday and Saturday night events.

-Start gathering your photos to send to Erin McMillen Gustafson from our SEHS days for a slide show. I'll include her email address when I get it. :)

-We would like to honor alumni and teachers that have passed on before us by having an "In Memoriam" table at each of our events. We need your help with this effort though. If you have knowledge of anyone that should be memorialized, please bring a photo for us to display of them to any of our events or send the image to any of us on the planning committee (Molly Mae Culligan, myself, Heather Denker Notenboom, Laurie Ohrtman Moyer or Tina Bamford) so we can ensure that their photo is printed and displayed for remembrance by us all. Thank you for helping us to honor our fellow alumni and teaching staff.

Please let any of us know if you are able to help out. We appreciate you and look forward to getting together later this summer.
