About	Michael was the son of Roger and Dorothy Coffey of Whitesville. Husband of April Hawkins Coffey and Father to Caleb Lee and Jonah Michael whom he adored. After graduating from Sherman High School, Michael attended Marshall University, graduating with a degree in Counseling & Social Work. Michael was employed by the Barboursville School for many years, but ultimately followed his father into police work. Challenging health circumstances caused Michael to retire from his position as Chief of the Sylvester Police Department several years ago.
