About John S. Andrews, 42, 3006 S. 17th Street, died peacefully at home Thursday morning, March 5, 2009.
John was born June 12, 1966 in Sheboygan to John and Mary Ann (Beck) Andrews. He attended local grade schools and was a graduate of South High School, Class of 1985.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish. For many years he was actively involved in an administrative role at the Sheboygan Softball Association and also was a member of the Moose Family Center. Many locals will remember John in his travels on the south side of Sheboygan and the many, many friends he made along the way. He was also an avid San Francisco 49ers fan.
He is survived by his father, John “Jack” Andrews, with whom he lived; two sisters, Jacqueline (John) Ashburn and Mary Alice Andrews; one brother, Gerald (Jessica) Andrews, all of Sheboygan; two nephews, William Joseph Andrews and Robert John Andrews; one niece, Sarah Ann (Eric) Pirrung, all of Sheboygan; two great-nieces, McKenna Way Andrews and McKayla Marie Pirrung; one great-nephew, Conner Jay Ninneman; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann on March 9, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday March 8, 2009 at Ballhorn Chapels. Reverend Glenn Powers, Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church will be the officiant. A time of visitation and support will be held from 12 noon until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in the name of John S. Andrews.
His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Nicholas Home Health & Hospice who provided years of personal service and friendship to John and his family.
John will always be remembered for his outgoing personality and his quick witted humor. He will be deeply missed by so many.
John S. Andrews
