About	Michael D. Johnson, 39, of 1419 Virginia Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday evening, August 26, 2012 at his home. Born March 9, 1973 in White Pine, MI, Michael was the son of Duane W. and Janet M. Niemi Johnson. He attended area schools and graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1991. He then went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 1996. On May 1, 2004, he was united in marriage to Bonnel Small in Sheboygan. They were married for 5 years before Bonnel preceded him in death on March 29, 2010. Mike was an Umpire for over 22 years, the last 15 years with the Sheboygan Softball Association. He is survived by his parents, Duane and Janet, Sheboygan, and his sister, Michelle (fiancé James Leonhard) Johnson; aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. Besides his wife, Bonnel, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter. A time for stories and remembrances will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Avenue. Friends and family are welcome at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place in the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
