About	I just found out that my childhood neighbor and classmate (from Lincoln Elementary through Sequoia High School) Janis Mitchell took her own life on January 17. She is gone...we who knew and loved Janis are all deeply saddened and shocked. Her birthday was January 31. Another friend wrote of her: "Janis touched so many people's lives in such meaningful ways. I don't think she really knew how much. I miss her twinkling eyes, her crystal clear honesty, acerbic humor, generosity and life adventures so much and will always carry her safely in my heart."
