About	Sharon Mathews was killed in a tragic car accident as she was returning home from SHS to the Amerada Switch after school. Sharon had suffered from heart trouble from infancy, and it was unknown if the car she was driving, her older sister's Volkswagen Bug, was blown by wind into the wrong lane or if she suffered a heart attack and lost control of the car which caused the freak accident. Sharon was thrown from the car. Personally, Sharon was one of my dearest friends and had written on her senior photo: "Well, we've made it this far, I guess we'll make it until May!" Rest in peace, Sharon. We have missed you! We look forward to seeing you again.
