About	Carolyn was born Dec 16th 1943 in New Iberia, LA. She met her husband, Jim Hougan, at the U of Wisconsin. They both received degrees in Journalism. They had 2 children and 3 grandchildren. The made their home near Charlottesville, Virginia where her husband still lives. Carolyn wrote 4 books on her own and 5 books with her husband under the pseudonym John Case. One of those books, The Genesis Code reached number 8 on the NY Times best seller list. Carolyn was an avid soccer player and continued to play up until she was diagnosed with cancer. She loved to garden and grow things. All who knew her loved her; she was truly a special person.
