My mother graduated from Linton High in 1967. She grew up very poor and moved around a lot but always went to Schenectady schools. My mother had all odds against her but pushed herself, became a teacher, and eventually received her Phd in education. She is now a professor at Russell Sage. My mother has changed the lives of many of children in our community. She started a charity called Project Kids anout 25 years ago and it is still going strong. Project Kids provides a coat, boots, mittens, hats and everything else a child needs for the winter months. She is the best person I know and I am so proud that she is my mother. Thank you so much.
