About	Melissa Leigh (Earle) Young June 26, 1964 - November 21, 2004 Melissa L. Young, 40, of Breton Avenue, Sanford died November 21, 2004 after a brave five-year battle with breast cancer. She passed away peacefully while surrounded by her numerous friends and family. She was born June 26, 1964 in Fort Wolters, Texas a daughter of Richard and Marilyn (Wright) Earle of Sanford, Maine. Melissa graduated from Sanford High School in 1982 and from the University of Southern Maine where she was a member of the ROTC. Following her graduation, she taught Special Education, most recently at the Child Development Center-Williams School in Rochester, NH. The loving mother of Alicia, age 14; Michaela, age 9; and Bryce, age 6. Also survived by her husband, Michael F. Young of New Durham, NH. She will be greatly missed by her parents and her brothers and sister, Richard S. Earle, Russel Voigtlander and Sharon Embry. Her friends are too numerous to name, but those who were privileged to have been a part of her life will fondly remember her. She was an inspiration to her family and friends. A Graveside Service was held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford, Maine at 11:00 am. There were no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
