About Brian P. Lasante, 45, of Burbank Lane in Sanford, died in Wells on December 13, 2008.

Brian was born in Sanford on November 10, 1963 a son of Paul A. and Geri C. (Bourque) Lasante and with four sisters and one brother, grew up in a busy and active household. He attended local schools and following graduation from Sanford High School, Brian took to the open road and headed to Florida. While living in the South, he expanded his cooking skills and was employed as a chef. Following a few years of working in the restaurant business, Brian traveled once again to the Lone Star State, Texas and became a skilled building contractor.

In 1998, Brian moved his family back to Maine, to give his three daughters the same opportunity of growing up in a small town; surrounded by cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends. He possessed a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone which was apparent by the sacrifices he made for his daughters. Being a Dad, his girls said he was a great shopper and up with the latest styles when it came to buying their clothes. He loved having a house full of friends and his four legged companion Dusty was always by his side. Brian enjoyed classic rock –n-roll music and will be remembered for being strong willed and independent.

He is lovingly survived by his three daughters, Ashley Lasante and best friend, Samantha Barnett of Sanford; Korey and Shawna Lasante both of Sanford; his parents, Paul Lasante of Parsonsfield and Geri Pendexter of Sanford; one brother, James Lasante and wife Lisa of Shapleigh; four sisters, Lynn Wakefield and husband Robert of Sanford; Christine Blier and husband John of Sanford; Tricia Castaldo and husband Christopher of Scarborough and Theresa Lasante of Sanford; his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and best friend, John Elliott.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Jeannette Lasante and his maternal grandparents, Rene and Germaine Bourque; his stepmother, CarolAnn Lasante in 2006; by his stepfather, Barry Lee Pendexter in 2002, and by his baby daughter, Hope.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Dec. 18th from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Autumn Green Funeral Home, 47 Oak Street, in Alfred, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Leach, officiating.
