Well known for his agility and skill, Van Pelt's breadth of accomplishment spans beyond the shores of America, reaching the leagues of Italy and England.

Throughout his journey, Van Pelt played for a number of notable teams beginning with the Denver Broncos (2004-2006), followed by the Houston Texans (2006), and extending to the Bergamo Lions (2009-2010), and the Leicester Falcons (2010).
