About	Rod was born and raised in Olivenhain, his family (Teten/Bumann) were some of the founding families of The Colony of Olivenhain. His passion was riding motorcycles. Rod was 1 required class short of walking down the isle with the graduating class of 76' even though he had the credits to graduate. In November of 1976 he married Linda Goodwin also of the class of 76', they had 3 sons (Jon 77', Chris 81' & Justin 82'). They resided in the Fire Mountain area of Oceanside. Rod was employed by his father-in-law Don Goodwin Grading & Excavating (Capistrano Beach) & later Verdugo Grading (Laguna Beach) where he was well respected as a heavy equipment operator. In 1983 at the age of 25 Rod was diagnosed with cancer and after a 5 year battle at the age of 30 in 1988 he passed away. He was survived by his parents Roger & Jeannette, brother David, Wife Linda, Sons; Jon, Chris & Justin and many other family members and friends. He was a gentle 6'4" giant and was loved by all who knew him.
