What is a Roosevelt Alum; (A True Rough Rider)

A true Rough Rider was someone who came to Roosevelt from various negihborhoods, such as Division Street, Palmer Square, Logan Square,Albany Park ,Humboldt Park and others.
Maybe just to be with friendsat the same school, but even more ,Roosevelt was like a magnet. It created some great social-athletic clubs like the Jovens,the Senecas the Rockets ,the Toppers, and others. I remember great dances like "lest we Forget".1,2and3; im memory of Bob Stone. Names like Manny
Weincord, Jerry "Moose"Malitz, Eddy Rothenberg , Shelly Mann'
Mort Feldman and "Mookie" Miller! Peolple like those, and people like you and I, who fondly remember the way it was`!
And I will always be greatful and appreciative of those wonderful years at Roosevelt !!! So one more time;"Thanks for the Memories Dear Roosevelt" from Dick Perkins, Class of January 1953.
