Danny Scherry Memorial Golf Outing
Dear Friends:
On April 16, 2007, USMC Lance Corporal Danny Scherry, of Rocky River, Ohio, was killed while serving in Iraq. Danny was a standout football player at Rocky River High School. He received the Heart of the Team award his senior year- a genuine reflection of his spirit and infectious energy. The Danny Scherry Memorial Scholarship fund was established to help students at Rocky River High School who demonstrate the same ideals, conviction, dedication, and love of country that Danny did.
This year we are having the 4th annual Danny Scherry Memorial Golf Outing to benefit the fund. Money being raised from the outing goes directly to the scholarship fund and your donation is completely tax deductible. There are no administrative fees involved. Last years event was a huge success thanks to the players and donors that participated. The outing is Sunday, September 18th at Bob-O-Links Golf Course. The 4 man scramble begins at 11:00 AM. Attached is the registration form.
We are currently requesting:
1. Donations- Prizes, door prizes, gift certificates, food, golf/sports related clothing and/or equipment.
2. Hole Sponsorships- $100 per hole. A sign with your business name will be placed on a banner, in our program as well as being shown at your hole.
3. Players- $75 per person or $300 per team.
