About	Raymond L. Shonk of Shoals, Indiana, formerly of Wheeler, Indiana passed away on July 15, 2014 at 3:24 p.m. at the University of Louisville. He was born on September 23, 1950 in South Haven, Michigan to the late Clara Curtis Shonk and Leon Shonk. He married Joyce Ann Qualkenbush on October 12, 2000, and she survives. Raymond was a graduate of River Forest High School in Lake Station, Indiana, and served in the US Army. He retired as a warehouse coordinator for Follett in Aurora, Illinois. He was of the Methodist Faith. Raymond was community minded and volunteered for many organizations, including the Salvation Army. He enjoyed visiting with residents of local nursing home facilities. A favorite pastime was watching the White Sox. He will be greatly missed by his family, including his wife, Joyce Ann Shonk of Shoals One daughter, DeAnna Ed Schneider of Naperville, IL Three sons: Jason Sarah Shonk of Kokomo Ron Tami Blatz of Valparaiso Don Blatz Whiting Sisters: Becky Cascos of Brownsville, TX; Zena Riddle of Brazil; Laurie Dyer; Linda Swisher, and "Mom Joann" Hardy all of Michigan. Three brothers: Russell Shonk and Randy Shonk both of Lewisburg, TN and Ramsey Shonk of Lafayette. Two grandchildren: Andrew and Brianna Schneider. Numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals. Preferred memorials are to the charity of one's choice.
