About	View/Sign Guest Book -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- James Stenholm Stenholm, James James Stanley Stenholm passed away peacefully at his home in Anthem, AZ on October 24, 2008. Born in South Bend, WA on January 20, 1971, Jim graduated with his Bachelors degree from Grand Canyon University. Jim served the Phoenix Police Department for 13 years, working alongside those he was proud to have as close friends and colleagues. Always in motion, Jim cherished the time he spent with his biking family, keeping the rubber to the road and searching for the next "epic" adventure. Jim's passion for life was eclipsed only by his devotion to family and friends. He often said that what he was most proud of in life were his two beautiful children, Spencer and Avery. Like their father in so many ways, he treasured every hug, every picture, every story and he is their superhero in everyway. Jim was a devoted and loving husband, Rebecca's best friend and her partner. He knew that it was both the big moments and the small that defined a love that would last. Described by his friends as a great man that was taken too soon, Jim will be dearly missed and celebrated in our hearts and in our memories. Jim is survived by his wife, Rebecca Stenholm, and their two children Spencer and Avery; parents Valerie and Ted Stenholm, sister Lenae Schroeder and husband Bill (Evan, Carson); grandmothers Betty Redding and Peggy Bennett; parents-in-law Ruth and Peter Murray and brothers-in-law Jacob and Nicholas Murray. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road in Phoenix. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Shadow Mountain Mortuary. Donations for the family can be made through Wells Fargo in the name of James Stenholm.
