About	Robert (Bob) James Lawyer: November 30, 1952 - November 17, 2022. Bob was born in Portland, Oregon and lived in the Portland area for most of his life including 54 years in Oak Grove, OR. He moved to Vancouver, WA in 2019 to live with his life partner of 34 years, Alice Olsen. Bob was a graduate of Rex Putnum High School (’71) and Portland Community College. He worked at Tektronix for 31 years as a technician, retiring at age 55. After retirement he pursued his real love which was music. Well known in the Portland area as a wonderful acoustic guitar player, he played at restaurants and coffee house, performing his own original compositions. He was given the nickname ‘“Lightening Fingers” for his complex, rapid finger picking style. He recorded his music on the Fat Fish label and had several albums of his music released. Bob was also a British Sports car enthusiast and had once been a member of the local Triumph club, winning a prize for his spotless TR6. Known best for his kind, caring heart he is survived by his life partner Alice Olsen, his mother Lavon Lawyer, and his sister Linda Kreutzer and her family.
