About	Dennis W. Ferchland April 11, 1950 - November 25, 2016 Obituary Redmond, Oregon Dennis W. Ferchland passed on Friday, November 25th, 2016. After battling multiple medical conditions over the past nine months, Dennis passed away at his home in Redmond, Oregon at the age of 66. Dennis was born in Portland, Oregon on April 11, 1950. He lived in Milwaukie, Oregon and graduated from Rex Putnam High School in 1968. Dennis then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. Upon returning from Vietnam he began working at United Grocers where he continued to work through retirement in 2003. After retirement he and his wife Julie started a second career in the Catering business. This past Spring Dennis and Julie closed Bistro Catering to officially retire and enjoy retirement between Central Oregon and Palm Springs. He had a passion for riding motorcycles in the desert with his friends, camping and boating, manning the barbeque, but mostly treasured spending time with his family. Dennis is survived by his wife, Julie Ferchland, children Andy Ferchland (Jamie), Renee Shelton (Ian) and step-children Jamie Babick, Hallie Eshleman, and Jerry Eshleman (Andrea); seven grandchildren; brothers Darrell (Betty), and Phil. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Gunther & Charlotte Ferchland and sister, Janice Shimer. A Celebration of Life to honor Dennis is scheduled at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at New Hope Community Church 11731 SE Stevens Rd, Happy Valley, OR 97086, with a reception to follow.
