Who is responsible for planning the reunion?

We have gathered all possible questions pertaining to the planning of a reunion. When a class starts organizing a reunion the first question usually asked is, "Who is responsible for planning the reunion?" It is important to know that in most cases, public high schools will not participate in the planning process for legal reasons. In this case it is up to each class to plan their own event.

Sometimes a class will assign a committee or person before graduation that is in charge of the event, but do not assume that they will take on this responsibility in later years; they may not have the time or may not be around to participate in the planning process.

It is important to know that anyone from the class can start the reunion process, so be proactive in knowing who is in charge. You can find this information by going to your high school website and clicking on the alumni link, which will give you this information, but if there isn't a link try contacting other classmates by going on many national sites on the Internet such as classmates.com, alumniclass.com, or reunion.com. These sites are free to join, but certain features on the sites may require a fee. Also, make sure you frequently check the message board or the forum on your high school site for posted messages about upcoming information about the class reunion.

Being proactive in taking these steps will avoid the mishap of your classmates missing their class reunion. There have been many instances where classmates have become disheartened believing they were not invited to an event, not knowing that one had not been planned.
