| About Me | Hi, my name is Christy. I am 35 years old and have 5 girls. As I grew up, I never thought that my life would be where it is now. For being so young, I have had more up's and downs then one person should. I have been with my hubby for 8 years and have 5 wonderful girls that are 16,13,10, 5 and 3. I am very outgoing, love to make people laugh and open to try new things. I live day by day and take or deal with whatever life give me. I love anything to do with the outdoors. Fishing, camping, going for walks, playing at the park with the kids or even doing some yard work. Before I was a Mom I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations. I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put them down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom. I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom. Life is to short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, and forget aobut the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it. There comes a point in your life when "FUN" no longer means bar hopping, clubbing, being out til 4am or drinking too much. It means movies, going out for family dinners, bedtime stories, and sleeping at 8pm. Becoming a parent doesn't change you ... It makes you realize that the little peop...(read more) |
