About Theodore Hoffman Obituary
Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 2, 2023.
Theodore John Hoffman, a beloved 66-year-old rock and roll & blues legend, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023 in the comfort of his home. He departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, music and humor.

Born on April 5 1957, our dear Teddy led a life filled with passion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on those around him. He touched the lives of many through his music, Ghostbuster quotes, and genuine kindness, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Ted was a passionate meteorologist for the National Weather Service, dedicating his time and talents to ensuring the skies were always safe for those flying. He was also our personal meteorologist and fierce protector, making sure his friends and family were always safe by giving them a heads up when weather was coming their way.

Outside of his professional life, Ted was a devoted father and friend. He cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren, creating unforgettable memories for generations to come. He was his grandchildren's' biggest supporter in all things, from sports all the way to challenging careers. He always encouraged his family to be the best and to never give up.

Ted also had a passion for impressions, which brought immense joy and allowed him to share that joy with others. Our favorite impression, though, would have to be Santa Claus, who would call his grandchildren every holiday season to make sure their spirits were lifted and they were filled with joy and hope. Ted was a never-ending dreamer, and was committed to supporting those aspirations with his children and grandchildren.

We all know that Ted's biggest passion was his music, which he shared with the world. From guitar lessons, to PA system loans, to jam sessions with his kids, to writing out tabs on an Easter Sunday for a beginner with no talent, he wanted to share everything he knew. He was the best tech support around, although he did have frequent fights with guitar cables and mic feedback. Without his mentorship and guidance, the world wouldn't have two additional (incredible) Hoffman musicians and the best production events company to ever exist.

In times of triumph and challenge (and there were many), Ted faced life with resilience, courage, and an unwavering sense of humor. He was a humble legend, unwilling to accept how he created an impact on countless lives and unable to believe the insurmountable adoration he received from everyone he met.

Theodore Hoffman is survived by his children: Andrew, Derek, and Lindsay, and his grandchildren: Preston, Amyah, Kadence, Kelly, and Blair, who will continue to honor his memory by carrying forward the values, love, and music he shared.

A service to celebrate the life of Ted is forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to organizations Ted avidly supported: KCUR 89.3 (he loved NPR), Southern Poverty Law Center, Planned Parenthood, and The Human Rights Campaign, reflecting Ted Hoffman's commitment to the cause.

As we say goodbye to our Superman, let us remember him not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the immeasurable impact he had on our lives. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
